049 entered a plaza containing an orgy, a local woman eventually coming to him. He eventually gave his book away in exchange for reagents, the book eventually falling into the hands of Marshall, Carter and Dark, Ltd. Alagadda Ġ49 eventually made his way to Alagadda, taking the form of a bird-man hybrid. 049 sought to cure The Pestilence, though it is unknown to all but 049 himself of what it truly was. He somehow assumed the anatomical form of a plague doctor and traveled the world, even going to otherworldly dimensions such as Alagadda. There should be two checkpoints for heavy/entrance anyways - it would give dclass and scientist more options to get past their respective enemies.SCP-049 was presumably born in medieval France, possibly during the times of the Black Plague. He doesn't even need to res people as zombies. Wait until you have a plague doctor camping this checkpoint correctly and you'll understand. He's the only SCP in the game that can stall without any mechanics to get around it or prevent it, due to the location he is capable of stalling at. You can't rush pass him because he can kill multiple people near instantly without any CD on his attack. He IS made of paper, but he can position himself around the checkpoint angles where he is not easily hit without taking out multiple people. A lot of servers are already adopting reduced nade damage as well. Grenades are strong, but avoidable by a clever player and he'll be right back to what he's doing in a few seconds after. Pushing him in this opportunity results with you likely ending up locked in with him inside the checkpoint. Grenades can help - but he can just backpeddle into the door behind containment and close it avoid doors. His one weakness is resolved by becoming a permanent fixture in the one location in all generated maps - Heavy containment/Entry zone checkpoint. My post is more about a weakness in the map generation and how bad 049 can abuse it due to his mechanics being more straight forward strong compared to the other SCPs. His speed isn't the issue and in my OP I say it's actually the only way to outplay him - when HE'S being played as he should be. Once it's off the map, theres no other options in a game that feels like there should always be an option.)) But that can't always be grabbed and is sometimes used incorrectly. (( Note: The micro SD gun is your best bet against him, for obvious reasons. In the meantime, I hope server admins will start enforcing kicks on people camping entrance zone checkpoint. I understand he needs to 1-3 hit depending on MFT class, but if you spam fast enough it will feel instant even on commanders. Or give SCP 49(Plague Doctor) a cooldown on his attack that doesn't let him kill a crowd of people within 1 second. So why is it possible for him to camp the one location every person in the map needs to go through? You can't force him to move with a nuke, as nuke is in heavy containment and the button is on the surface.ĭoing this strategy doesn't even need zombies.Įither ensure the map generates two checkpoints into entrance zone(This would make for more interesting plays across the board anyways.) Just like there is two checkpoints from light to heavy containment. There is no juking or outplaying a plague doctor outside of completely outrunning him and losing him. It's a safe place for him to instant kill everything through the sole way through, as I understand it - only one checkpoint into heavy containment/entrance zone can spawn on a map. You cannot get past him, and you cannot peek him as MFT without risking insta-death. I understand he can meld through unopenable doors and use his pool to teleport, giving him some value.īut people are starting to understand that plague doctor can literally sit inside heavy containment > entrance zone's checkpoint and win the entire game. So, why does the less deadly SCP have a cooldown on his M1 while plague does not? From a balance perspective, why does 106's attack have a cooddown to prevent spamming but the plague doctor doesn't?Īt least people who get abducted by 106 have a chance to a survive - and if enough people have been abducted prior, its not even a garunteed death.
